First Baptist Church Gresham is blessed to have a pastor who not only loves the Lord, but loves people as well.  Bro. Roy Thoene listened to God's call and accepted the position of pastor in 1974.  God has blessed Bro. Roy's ministry in Gresham throughout the years and continues to guide him today as he leads in the church and community.           Bro. Roy and wife Barbara have three children and five grandchildren.           Please pray for Bro. Roy and Barbara as they continually seek God's will for their family, church and community.

In 1998, Gresham was blessed to add Bro. David May to the staff to serve as a part-time youth minister.  As the dynamics of the church began to grow, the church called Bro. David as a full-time student minister in January of 2000.           Since his arrival, Bro. David has devised program that helps youth and children gain a better understanding of the bible and how to apply it to their lives.           Bro. David and wife, DeeAnna, have two daughters.           Please pray for Bro. David and DeeAnna as they try to reach youth and children with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Celebration Choir and congregation at First Baptist Church Gresham were blessed when in the Fall of 1997, Bro. Norris Cash joined the ministry team. Since his arrival, Bro. Norris has built a music program that infuses gospel favorites of years past with more recent hymns, preparing hearts and minds for worship.           Bro. Norris also took a small group of people with a love for singing and turned them into a Celebration Choir of more than 30.           Bro. Norris and wife, Peggy, have three children and five grandchildren.           Please pray for Bro. Norris and Peggy as they lead the congregation and choir in a time of worship.
