First Baptist Church Gresham adult ministry encompasses all age ranges and learning styles. We offer many differing activities and ministry opportunities for all people. We encourage you to explore what we have to offer and find a place where you can get involved.

Sunday School

Our Adult Sunday School classes reach out to a very wide age group. We have classes designed for those entering college for the first time all the way through senior adult. Each class ministers to the individualized needs of the person based on his or her age and stage in life. Please feel welcome to attend one of our 9 am classes and find the one where you best fit in and feel comfortable to learn about the Word of God.

Men's Softball

The men of our church field a softball team during the spring and fall. This is a great time of fun and fellowship at the ball field. Check the church calendar so that you do not miss the next opportunity to sign up to play. Also, the softball team always needs faithful supporters, so please be on the lookout for upcoming games.

Sonshine Group

“Sonshine is our name . . . 42 is our game!”

The Sonshine group is a ministry designed for senior adults aged 55 and up. They meet every Thursday evening 6:00 pm to play 42. The Sonshine Group also hosts several tournaments throughout the year, so be sure and watch the church calendar to find out when the next tournament will be.

Celebration Choir

The Celebration Choir at First Bpatist Church Gresham is a ministry that all people can enjoy. The Celebration Choir delivers the message of God through song as they help prepare hearts and minds for worship. Under the direction of Bro. Norris Cash, the choir sings beautiful melodies that are sure to touch hearts. The choir meets each Wednesday night at 6 pm in the sanctuary for practice. Bro. Norris is always excited to welcome new members.

Women's Ministry

FBC Gresham has a very active Women's Ministry. The ladies of our church plan outings to various places around East Texas each month and they also host a Game Day for ladies. Every fall, Mrs. Barbara Thoene and Mrs. Carol Seals work together to plan and put together the Ladies' Fall Fling. Each year, this is an exciting event filled with great speaking, worship and fellowship with other ladies.
